Frequently Asked Questions

Is 6 weeks long enough to see much of an improvement?

Absolutely! Activemums programs run continuously and if you want to join again you can! When you make a commitment to yourself and the Activemums fitness program you will be motivated to push yourself each time, and  you will  look and feel better for it. Combining  a healthy, balanced diet  with exercise will form the foundation of your weight loss and fitness plan.

I am unfit, and feel lethargic, will I still be able to participate?

Again. Absolutely! Feeling tired and exhausted can sometimes be something all mothers have in common! Activemums fitness program have been designed specifically with you in mind. Having a baby, leaving your job, struggling to fit everything in, breastfeeding, looking after your family,  doing  pelvic floor and core exercises, managing  a changing relationship, making lunch for the other kids, cooking dinner, housework, washing the clothes and all on little to no sleep. Activemums fitness program has been designed taking all this into consideration. You  will feel better, have more energy, build strength, and get fitter – you will be the best mum you can be.

I am not a member of a mothers group. Can I join Activemums on my own?

Of course you can! Actually that is a good reason to register  now. Many friendships have been formed through Activemums  courses all over the world. Getting fit together is a great way to bond! Activemums fitness groups function as a fabulous opportunity to network and meet other mums who are going through similar situations.

What if I can’t make it to every session?

You need to ask yourself why. There are 168 hours in the week and should be able to reserve1-2 hours a week for your own health and peace of mind. The fitter you are the better mum you can be. You are always welcome to attend a make-up class before the end of the term if you miss a session.

Activemums classes are fun and inspiring. You will make time we guarantee it. Our program has been called “Pram Ballet” as we designed it specifically to be fun. Khali being a professional dancer knows how to make any session fun and put a lot of thought into designing the Activemums programs,  you will learn a lot of new and fun ways of exercising using your pram as the “bar”.

What do I need to bring to Activemums classes?

    For mum:
  • Water
  • Yoga mat
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • SPF Sunscreen
  • Your Pram and Baby

For bub:

  • A shade cover for your pram
  • A rain cover for your pram
  • Some snacks and drinks

If breastfeeding, you should ideally feed bub before the session so you are more comfortable.

If feeding time happens to fall after class you could consider expressing beforehand for your comfort during the session.
